The Next Generation Composes brings generations together through a personalized musical experience. Grandparents share their stories, and grandchildren learn to express those memories through their own musical ideas.
With guidance from composer Andrew Ingkavet, founder of Musicolor Method, and the Musicolor teaching team, those ideas become an original piece your family can hear, share, and keep.
Imagine a grandmother describing the garden where she grew up. Her grandchild discovers a melody for the birds, a rhythm for walking along the path, and a musical ending that feels like coming home.
Through personalized Musicolor sessions, the children explore musical choices and develop their ideas. Andrew helps shape and arrange their contributions into a finished family composition.
The experience creates time together, opportunities to learn, and something lasting to celebrate.

It’s a gift grandparents can give their grandchildren—or parents can arrange as a celebration of the generations before them.
Andrew Ingkavet brings together his work as a composer and the founder of Musicolor Method to help children discover and develop their musical ideas.
Musicolor’s approach gives children accessible ways to begin making music. For this experience, that process becomes a bridge between family stories and the children’s own creative expression.
A child might contribute a short melody, a rhythmic pattern, or a series of musical choices. Andrew’s role is to help develop those ideas into a finished work while honoring the child’s contribution.
Begin with a private consultation with Andrew. We’ll discuss your family, the occasion, the children’s readiness, and what you would love to create.
You’ll receive a written proposal outlining the project fee, sessions, deliverables, and timetable before deciding whether to proceed.
Limited to four families for January 2027.

The children are guided to create musical material and make meaningful creative choices. Andrew develops and arranges their ideas for the finished work. Credits distinguish the children’s contributions from professional arrangement or additional composition.
The schedule depends on family availability, the teaching plan, and production scope. Your proposal will include an agreed timetable. For holiday gifts, sessions begin in the new year.
In-person experiences can be discussed and quoted separately. Flights, car transportation, hotel accommodation, and a food stipend are additional, with arrangements and costs agreed in advance.
